Chamaenerion (Epilobium) angustifolium - Fireweed
Known for its stunning magenta-pink blooms in late summer and early fall. Prefers sunny, medium to moist sites and is commonly found along roadsides and in ditches. Its common name comes from its sudden appearance after wildfires. Can spread easily by its roots or from seed, so it may need maintenance in a small garden. Great for pollinators.

3-4' tall

Zones 2-7
